Concorde Bank Limited Appoints Sharmaine Vaughan as New Chief Executive Officer

July 1, 2024 – Concorde Bank Limited is proud to announce the appointment of Sharmaine Vaughan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 4, 2024. With over twenty-five (25) years of experience in the banking sector, Ms. Vaughan brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the role, having worked across several markets in the OECS, Barbados, and Trinidad, and with professional advisors across the USA and UK.

Ms. Vaughan has excelled in every facet of the banking industry, including retail, corporate banking, wealth management, and investment banking. She is renowned for her strong leadership in transforming a local bank in Anguilla into a sound and profitable institution, earning recognition as an award-winning bank among Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) banks. Her strategic leadership also earned her the prestigious Corporate Leadership Award from the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce in 2012.

Her extensive board-level experience includes serving as a Director for the Eastern Caribbean Home Mortgage Bank (ECHMB), the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce, the Caribbean Credit Card Corporation (4Cs), and the Eastern Caribbean Bankers Association.

Ms. Vaughan’s academic background spans a B.Sc. in Accounting and Statistics from the University of the West Indies and an MBA in Banking & Finance from Bangor University, UK. She is also a Chartered Banker with the Chartered Banker Institute, UK and an Accredited Director with the ICSA Chartered Secretaries, Canada. In addition, she completed the Registered Principal and Representative Trading Licensing examinations for the Eastern Caribbean Securities Market.
