CBL is registered as a domestic bank with a foreign currency license and is regulated by the Central Bank of Barbados and the Barbados Financial Services Commission. CBL currently operates in one location, Barbados.

Gerard Lussan, the founding chairman and majority shareholder of Concorde Bank Limited (CBL), was a visionary leader whose contributions to the legal and financial sectors were invaluable. As a distinguished French lawyer, Gerard was sworn to the Paris Bar in 1964. He held Masters’ Degrees in Law and Economics, specializing in International, Commercial, Economic, and Tax law, and became a foreign member of the New York Bar International Association in 1988.

Gerard’s entrepreneurial spirit and forward-thinking approach led him to co-found the French law firm Lussan & Wiriath, with offices in Paris and London. In 1982, he also co-founded the London Partnership Limited, where he played a key role in developing cutting-edge portfolio management software that set new industry standards.

His dedication to advancing financial planning was demonstrated through his involvement with the International Tax Planning Association and the Society of Trust and Estate Planners. Gerard’s influence extended beyond these organizations, as he held significant roles in trustee, banking, and investment corporations, providing advisory services to multinational groups and demonstrating his expertise in international finance and law.

In 1987, Concorde Bank Limited was founded as an independent private bank in Barbados. Gerard’s leadership was instrumental in its establishment, guiding CBL to secure a domestic bank status with a foreign currency license, regulated by the Central Bank of Barbados and the Barbados Financial Services Commission. Today, CBL continues to operate in Barbados, upholding the principles of excellence and integrity that Gerard championed.
